If your project is bound to be synced to a TV, movie, or other commercial video application, it is recommended to print/export instrumental and acapella (vocals only) mixes in addition to main mixes. Getting these alternate mixes mastered alongside the main mixes adds a smaller charge to your mastering session compared to getting the alternates mastered more than 10 days after a project’s main mixes have been finalized.

Our default delivery consists of 24-bit 44.1kHz Hi-Res .wav files for digital distribution outlets that accept high resolution uncompressed files (Distrokid, Tidal, Apple Hi-Res Lossless, most self-serve distributors). If you are just doing a digital release, our default delivery is probably all you need.
Upon request at no additional charge, we also offer 16-bit 44.1kHz CD Quality .wav files, 24-bit 48kHz Hi-Res .wav files for film synchronization, 32-bit floating point 352.kHz Archive Quality .wav files, and Apple Digital Masters.

While many artists employ 16-bit .wav files for CDs these days, if you’re distributing your record via compact disc, a DDP image is a great way to ensure that timing, track titles, and metadata are delivered accurately to your CD duplication facility. Please note that .DDP images require dedicated software for playback and thus, you may not be able to audition a .DDP image at home. If requested, a DDP image incurs a $25 authoring charge.

A vinyl pre-master contains 32-bit floating point .wav files for sides A & B along with a .PDF cue sheet that outlines track timing, side duration, destination speed and format, and other helpful information for the vinyl cutting and manufacturing process. If you’re making vinyls, you definitely want to provide your manufacturer with a vinyl pre-master. Generally, ordering vinyl pre-masters adds a ~$200 charge to your mastering session
