Rose Quartz Mastering is home to Sam Kumar Tandon, a mastering engineer known for his work with artists like THRONE, Paul Wall, Plastique Tiara, Jelani Aryeh, Strong Maurice, Lutan Fyah, As Living Arrows, Cazwell, Yvie Oddly, & hundreds of other talented artists, engineers, and producers.
Our San Diego mastering suite is outfitted for critical listening. With full-spectrum acoustic treatment based on the space’s architecture, the suite maintains a favorable frequency and time domain response. The studio houses a set of Ex Machina Quasar Mk II monitors behind a Sterling Modular console. Combined with active bass trapping technology from PSI and industry-leading digital acoustic correction from Trinnov, we are able to finish records in an audiophile’s dream listening environment — a space that is pleasant, but quite revealing.
The suite also hosts a wide selection of analog mastering equipment that boasts industry-leading performance and transparency to ensure that mixes and stems are treated with the care that they deserve. With 64 analog outputs and several analog summing mixers on hand, Rose Quartz Mastering is one of the few studios in the world capable of offering analog stem mastering for up to 32 stereo stems at such a high standard of fidelity. Each analog (and digital) connection in the studio is made via Mogami Gold or Platinum. In addition to our carefully crafted analog signal chain, we have a suite of digital options in the form of plug-ins and software programs.
